Maldives tops travel destinations in 2021 in a new study
A new study by Club Med reveals which destinations people are looking to travel to in 2021 by analyzing Google search data, and the Maldives tops the list
With ever-changing restrictions, and the presence of a global pandemic, this means that some countries have been less safe to travel to than usual, while eyes are turning to safer destinations.
International travel destinations dominate the most popular countries people want to visit in 2021. It seems that vacationers are looking forward to traveling away from home next year.
Mexico and Thailand come in second and third, while Turkey and Spain are in the fourth and fifth places directly in the top ten list.
Recent booking data from Club Med also shows that Italy has recently been a popular choice. Kamarina in Sicily saw a significant increase of 214% in September compared to the same period last year, while Cefalu, also located in Sicily, saw an even larger increase of 350%.
